ISIS: Ugly, Nasty, Unpopular and a "Clear and Present Danger"

ISIS: Their Rule of Law and Justice

The Road to Baghdad

U. S. Left Iraq Military Well-Trained and Armed

Excellent visual report here from NBC reporter, Richard Engel, (about 9 minutes) who is on ground in Iraq. He is about one of the very best reporters these days over there.

The part that concerns me and apparently U.S. intelligence officials is the growing numbers of "foreign fighters" now signed on with ISIS, ones who still hold their native country's passports and could easily come to the U.S. or UK or other friendly western country and cause great harm... yes, it only takes a few to do great damage.

This is a major concern, and much more of a treat than we were told in 2003 in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq ... and, yes, I think they pass the "Clear and Present" danger test and seen here more precisely:

We have to step in and garnish wide support to stop them cold now. How, of course, is the question. But, it must be done... they cannot be allowed to gain total control of Iraq or any other country as a base of operations... period.
