Danger to Our National Sanity: Boogle of Worried Weasels

GOP Senate Majority "Hopeful" and Current Weeper of the Louse
(Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)

Just in Time for Election Day

I've given this some serious thought (no, really I have), and I've reached this conclusion: the GOP is out to win at all costs, at least my spin (grin). But, the subject is serious nevertheless.

The current pack of GOPers in Congress are first rate worry warts. They work hard for political points, as they are driven mostly by slick FOX and RW Talk Radio marketing. Cite some of their latest tactics:

(1) Duck! ISIS is coming to your hometown across the TX-MEX border, (2) hide under your bed, don't come out (ever), Ebola is on way to our shores as designer human bombs, or (3) if we don’t get re-engaged in Iraq and engaged in Syria, then they’ll come here and kill us all. (/s/ Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

Wow - so, what exactly do they want? Oh, I see, for you to vote GOP and give them the majority reins, and then they will solve everything. Well, alrighty then. Um, related to that desire, a few words to live by:

“…we know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand [me]...”  ― George Orwell1984

Have you ever wondered why Republicans are so interested in encouraging people to volunteer in their communities? It’s because volunteers work for no pay. Republicans have been trying to get people to work for no pay for a long time. ” ― George Carlin

One of my favorites ... what do you think?

“Republicans approve of the American farmer, but they are willing to help him go broke. They stand four-square for the American home -- but not for housing. They are strong for labor - but they are stronger for restricting labor's rights. They favor minimum wage -- the smaller the minimum wage the better. They endorse educational opportunity for all -- but they won't spend money for teachers or for schools. They think modern medical care and hospitals are fine -- for people who can afford them. They consider electrical power a great blessing -- but only when the private power companies get their rake-off. They think American standard of living is a fine thing -- so long as it doesn't spread to all the people. And they admire of Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it.” ― Harry S Truman

I would add this to that: “... they claim to respect women – (but) as long as they can control them in order to keep their thinking, influence, power, and decision-making to an absolute minimum and preferably out of sight.”

And, don't even get me started on voting rights and the current move to suppress the vote (yes, this is a very real issue).

Check things out for yourself, if you dare!!
